Junior CAD Designer / Librarian (Emirati Talent)

About the role

ADASI, a regional leader in autonomous systems, is looking for a Junior CAD Designer/Librarian to support its mechanical engineering teams in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on creating, updating and managing the company’s MCAD/ECAD parts library and ensuring accurate 3D model data for downstream design work.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, update and maintain an accurate MCAD/ECAD parts library.
• Develop and maintain libraries of 3‑D models used in SolidWorks and Catia mechanical and harness designs.
• Retrieve component data sheets from manufacturers’ websites and convert them to neutral formats such as STEP or IGES.
• Process component registration requests, validate information, assign ADASI part numbers and link manufacturer data.
• Configure and control all parts and CAD data within the Aras PLM system.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers while adhering to design and modelling best practices.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of experience in mechanical CAD modelling.
• Working knowledge of Catia or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems, preferably Aras Innovator.
• Basic understanding of configuration management and assembly modelling.
• Knowledge of 3‑D harness design concepts.
