Junior Compliance Officer

About the role

The Junior Compliance Officer will support the Compliance Manager and MLRO in implementing Meredo’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory and anti‑money‑laundering requirements within the real‑estate sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring compliance with UAE laws and regulations (RERA, DLD, ADREC, ADGM, etc.) and prepare regulatory reports.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence, risk assessments, and screen customers against sanction lists, PEP databases and adverse media.
• Support the preparation and submission of AML/CTF reports, maintain KYC documentation and AML/CFT records.
• Help develop, amend and implement compliance policies, procedures and controls, and track corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in compliance, AML or legal roles, preferably in the UAE real‑estate sector.
• Certification in compliance or AML (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is a plus.
• Strong command of English; Russian or Arabic is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ADGM AML regulations and screening tools.
