Junior Maintenance Technician – ULD

About the role

As a Junior Maintenance Technician you will support senior technicians in maintaining a wide range of ground‑handling equipment, vehicles and plant across dnata’s technical services workshops. The role focuses on both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, with a special emphasis on Unit Load Device (ULD) repair and assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing, repairing and testing faults on equipment, vehicles and plant to minimise downtime.
• Carry out daily inspections and housekeeping in the workshop, ensuring tools and work areas are kept in good condition.
• Record all maintenance activities in the log book and Maintenance Management System.
• Support scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations, ISO standards and local regulations.
• Execute ULD repair and assembly tasks according to MOE procedures, EASA/GCAA regulations and safety standards.
• Help maintain HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as Ground Power Units (GPU), Pre‑conditioned Air (PCA) units and generators.

Required profile

• Junior‑level candidate with a willingness to learn and assist senior technicians.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to follow written procedures and record work accurately.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Fundamental electrical and plumbing troubleshooting.
• Experience or training in Ground Power Unit (GPU) maintenance.
• Familiarity with Pre‑conditioned Air (PCA) equipment.
• Generator maintenance basics.
• ULD repair and assembly techniques.
• Understanding of EASA and GCAA regulations.
