Junior Sommelier – Dubai

About the role

Big Mamma Group is opening its first restaurant in Dubai and seeks a passionate Junior Sommelier to deliver memorable wine experiences that reflect Italian hospitality. You will be the wine reference for guests and the team, guiding pairings and ensuring the cellar runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding guest service by recommending wine pairings and creating personalized experiences.
• Act as the wine expert, sharing knowledge with guests and training colleagues.
• Oversee the wine cellar, maintain proper storage conditions, rotate stock (FIFO) and monitor temperatures.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, manage purchasing, and collaborate with suppliers to control costs and minimize waste.
• Support overall Food & Beverage operations and contribute to revenue and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Recognized sommelier certification (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, AIS or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of wine supplier chains, ordering processes and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for wine and Italian hospitality.
