Junior Sommelier – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the award‑winning hospitality team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab as a Junior Sommelier. You will work in a high‑end, luxury environment, supporting the wine service across our curated dining venues and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Taste and verify all wines before service, maintaining chillers at optimal temperature.
• Control wine orders, monitor stock and par levels, and rotate inventory to minimise waste.
• Conduct regular inventories, keep temperature logs and explain any variances.
• Prepare mise en place in advance, follow checklists and cleaning schedules for readiness.
• Attend to tables during service, refill glasses, take orders and collaborate with the service team.
• Communicate wine‑list updates and standards with outlet managers and the Beverage Manager.

Required profile

• Certified task and group trainer.
• WSET Level 3 (or equivalent) certification.
• 2–4 years of experience in a luxury, high‑end hospitality setting.
