Karate Coach – Shotokan Kata & Kumite Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Karate Coach/Trainer specializing in Japan Shotokan Karate, with proven expertise in both Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring). The role involves teaching students of all ages and skill levels at Karate Kid Martial Arts in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct specialized Japan Shotokan Karate classes focusing on Kata and Kumite for all age groups.
• Develop and implement structured training programs to enhance forms and sparring skills.
• Provide personalized coaching, feedback and motivation to help students achieve excellence.
• Assess individual and group progress and adapt training techniques accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff to organize competitions, workshops and events.

Required profile

• Certified Karate Instructor with expertise in Japan Shotokan Karate (Kata and Kumite).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Shotokan Karate.
• Strong knowledge of Shotokan principles, techniques and philosophy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
