Key Accounts Manager

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Key Accounts Manager to drive business development and strengthen relationships with strategic customers in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for expanding market share, achieving revenue targets, and delivering complex freight solutions across air, ocean, and road transport.

Key responsibilities

• Implement business development plans to generate new and additional business, maximize profit and grow market share.
• Deliver complex projects and initiatives to develop new business and increase DHL’s exposure among targeted prospects.
• Conduct market and feasibility studies to assess potential and analyze target groups.
• Identify decision‑makers, understand strategic challenges, and match customer needs with DHL services.
• Prepare and negotiate complex proposals, close deals, and maintain relationships with key accounts.
• Coordinate with local, district and regional management to align customer requests and service offerings.
• Provide market intelligence to product management and support less experienced team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management within logistics, freight forwarding or related transportation sectors.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue and growth targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior‑level buyers.
• Ability to conduct market research, feasibility studies and develop strategic plans.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to coordinate cross‑functional efforts.
