Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

Join the Radisson Resort Al Marjan Island team as a Kitchen and Laundry Technician, responsible for keeping all food‑service and laundry equipment operating at peak performance. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Housekeeping Manager to minimise downtime and ensure a safe, efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ranges, ovens, steamers, fryers, walk‑in chillers, freezers, dishwashers and food‑preparation machines.
• Service laundry machinery including industrial washers, dryers, flatwork ironers, steam boilers and pressing equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, gas and mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Implement preventive maintenance programmes and monitor steam pressure and temperature systems.
• Adhere to hotel safety, fire‑prevention and HACCP policies.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with the Executive Chef and Housekeeping Manager to limit operational interruptions.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Refrigeration Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in a hotel, resort or industrial facility.
• Solid knowledge of gas systems, steam systems and electrical wiring.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and basic understanding of HACCP standards.
