Kitchen & Laundry Technician

About the role

The Kitchen & Laundry Technician is responsible for the upkeep of all kitchen and laundry plant equipment at Anantara Downtown Dubai. You will ensure that refrigeration, air‑conditioning, boilers and related systems operate safely and efficiently, supporting the hotel’s high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment, chillers, AC, chilled water systems, pumps and boilers.
• Test, service and perform preventive‑maintenance (PPM) on refrigeration units, walk‑in coolers, freezers and ovens.
• Log and maintain HACCP standards and Health & Safety legislation records.
• Be on call for equipment emergencies and carry out utility readings for power management.
• Supervise tools issuance, external contractors and the maintenance team, ensuring safety inductions and record‑keeping.
• Participate in the hotel’s energy‑conservation and sustainability programmes.
• Attend all required on‑the‑job training and fire‑team duties.

Required profile

• No formal qualifications required (NA).
• At least 1 month of experience with kitchen, laundry or related plant equipment.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and supervise contractors.
• Willingness to attend training and follow departmental procedures.
