Kitchen Steward – Culinary

About the role

The Kitchen Steward supports the smooth operation of the food service area by keeping the kitchen clean, assisting with food preparation, and managing inventory. This position works in a fast‑paced airport environment, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Implement supervisor instructions and support daily kitchen cleaning operations.
• Assist in food planning, preparation, and production as needed.
• Maintain stock control of food and beverage items and keep accurate records.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and manage waste segregation.
• Support receiving, storage, and adherence to Dubai Municipality food safety standards.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of the quality management system.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the hotel or catering industry.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Vocational training council certificate (preferred).
• Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays in a 24/7 airport setting.
• Flexibility to be deployed to any Plaza Premium Group operation within the UAE or internationally.
• Professionalism, teamwork and commitment to premium guest service.
