Kubernetes Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes Administrator to join Midis Group in Dubai. The role supports a key client engagement, handling platform operations, troubleshooting, and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve platform issues to maintain stability and performance.
• Raise, track, and manage tickets for incidents and service requests.
• Engage with client teams, provide updates, and ensure timely resolution.
• Build and manage Docker images and the Docker Quay registry.
• Administer Kubernetes components, including network policies, ingress/egress, secrets, and ConfigMaps.
• Deploy and maintain Helm charts.
• Set up and manage Python virtual environments for workloads.
• Work with big‑data tools such as Spark, Airflow, Hive, and HDFS, including queue management.
• Manage DNS entries, proxy settings, and related environment variables.
• Handle SSL certificates, permissions, and Postgres database access.
• Maintain S3‑compatible object storage (e.g., Dell ECS).
• Support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Monitor system daemons and ensure service health across platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in Kubernetes administration and containerization.
• Strong background in networking concepts, DNS, proxies, and ingress/egress.
• Hands‑on experience with big‑data ecosystems and workload management.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, especially GitLab.
• Experience managing Python virtual environments and dependencies.
• Knowledge of SSL, secrets, and configuration management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and client communication skills.
