Lead Applied Value Engineer – AI Solutions

About the role

As a Lead Applied Value Engineer you will spearhead AI‑driven solutions for Celonis’ most strategic global accounts. You will diagnose complex operational challenges, design tailored use cases, and prototype cutting‑edge AI solutions on the Celonis platform, presenting impact to C‑suite executives and ensuring successful adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and architect bespoke, state‑of‑the‑art AI solutions that address nuanced operational pain points.
• Drive end‑to‑end Proof‑of‑Value projects, delivering secure, scalable LLM/agent systems with advanced Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, tool integration and strict guardrails.
• Act as a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, guiding value realization, adoption thresholds and operational transformation.
• Develop industry‑specific end‑to‑end solutions, codify reusable methodology and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of executive‑facing presales and value‑engineering experience with a proven record of delivering AI transformation projects.
• Deep domain expertise in core operational workflows (e.g., supply chain, finance) and ability to communicate with C‑suite stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of LLM orchestration, RAG, prompt engineering and agentic AI patterns for enterprise workflows.
• Expertise in linear/non‑linear optimization, statistical analysis, reinforcement learning and predictive forecasting.
• Extensive experience designing production‑grade ML/LLMOps architectures on AWS Bedrock, Azure AI or GCP Vertex AI.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, modular API design and advanced SQL, with hands‑on experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, XGBoost and Hugging Face.
• Proven ability to build secure cloud environments adhering to IAM, data‑governance and global privacy regulations.
