Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join EPAM’s Abu Dhabi team in a hybrid working mode. The role combines senior hands‑on DevOps work with platform‑engineering leadership, focusing on enterprise‑grade Azure solutions for AI workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Own Azure DevOps and platform‑engineering activities across the project.
• Design and implement Azure infrastructure for enterprise AI and application workloads.
• Define deployment architecture and environment strategy for DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep.
• Deploy and operate containerised workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Manage Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, Private Endpoints, DNS, routing and firewalls.
• Implement identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, Service Principals and Azure RBAC.
• Secure secrets and certificates using Azure Key Vault.
• Establish monitoring, logging and alerting with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Apply DevSecOps controls, vulnerability scanning and security automation.
• Define release, rollback, backup, disaster‑recovery and production‑support procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure, deployment, networking, security and performance issues.
• Provide technical leadership and standards for the DevOps team and collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity and Microsoft teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
• Proven track record designing, building and supporting production‑grade, enterprise‑scale Azure platforms.
• Expert‑level knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and platform engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD, IaC, containerisation and cloud security.
