Lead Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Lead the commissioning phase of large‑scale energy and industrial projects, ensuring safe and efficient hand‑over from FEED through EPC completion. The role reports to the commissioning manager and coordinates closely with PMC, contractors and internal functional leads.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to PMC and contractor commissioning teams.
• Plan, direct and supervise all pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, including mechanical completion and performance testing.
• Manage CARs and NCRs, ensure compliance with HSE requirements and project production targets.
• Review and approve hand‑over documentation, spare‑part inventories and maintenance procedures.
• Participate in technical reviews such as HAZOP, SIL studies and vendor acceptance tests.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and other departments on complex technical matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading commissioning teams on EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, mechanical completion and performance testing.
• Familiarity with HSE standards, CAR/NCR management and project documentation.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary stakeholders and external contractors.
