Lead Construction Engineer

About the role

Lead Construction Engineer will oversee construction activities for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on‑site construction activities for oil & gas projects.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and project standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors and site teams.
• Monitor progress, schedules and budgets, and prepare progress reports.
• Resolve technical and construction issues, review and approve construction plans, methods and work packages.
• Conduct site inspections and verify adherence to specifications.
• Support testing, commissioning and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 15‑18+ years of experience in oil & gas construction, including 5+ years in a lead role.
• Minimum 5 years of offshore construction experience.
• Experience with international standards (PMC, EPC) and fabrication yards.
• Previous involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
