Lead DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to build and own the security function for a fast‑growing sovereign AI venture builder in Abu Dhabi. You will lead application and cloud infrastructure security, working hands‑on in a high‑growth, startup‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish the security function, covering cloud, application and infrastructure layers.
• Lead the implementation of mitigation and secrets‑management tooling.
• Define and enforce security practices and strategy, especially for multi‑cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive a security‑first culture.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Security or DevSecOps engineering, with a track record of leading or owning security initiatives.
• Strong background in multi‑cloud environments and startup/scale‑up settings.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform).
• Proven ability to implement mitigation and secrets‑management solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
