Lead Engineer – Electrical Instrumentation & Telecom

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Lead Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom to join a PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the electrical and instrumentation design, developing technical specifications, and managing on‑site execution for large‑scale oil & gas processing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the E&I design and develop technical specifications for project deliverables.
• Manage site activities and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams through FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to align project requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and enforce quality control procedures.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Telecom from a recognized university.
• Minimum 18 years of experience, including at least 10 years on MEGA oil‑and‑gas processing projects.
• Proven GCC project experience; ADNOC experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Electrical, instrumentation and telecom design expertise.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and FEED processes.
• Experience with detailed engineering and site commissioning.
