Lead Engineer - Process

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to work on high‑profile oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role is office‑based and focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards for our client.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for all process design activities and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Coordinate and monitor process engineering work with EPC contractors, IPMT, and ADNOC engineering teams.
• Conduct regular technical reviews of engineering deliverables, approve consultant and contractor designs, and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in equipment sizing, selection, layout reviews, and design optimisation studies.
• Support installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases and report to senior project leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical team and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex problems.
