Lead Planning Engineer - Construction

About the role

KBR is seeking a Lead Planning Engineer to oversee planning, scheduling and control for large‑scale Oil & Gas construction projects in Abu Dhabi, later moving to the Ruwais site. The role involves coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering all phases of EPC delivery.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction and subcontractor teams to establish baselines and monitor progress.
• Perform critical‑path analysis, schedule risk assessments and identify mitigation measures.
• Prepare look‑ahead plans, progress reports, S‑curves, manpower histograms and performance dashboards.
• Support earned‑value analysis, delay analysis, recovery planning, EOT claims and management reporting.
• Lead and mentor planning engineers to achieve project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Lead Planning Engineer on Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience on mega FEED/EPC projects and overall 20+ years in EPC execution.
• Background in Gas Processing/NGL and detailed engineering projects.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP or AACE CCP are preferred.

• AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification.
