Lead Planning Engineer - PMC

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to oversee project planning and control for a major on‑shore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure safe, on‑time and cost‑effective delivery in line with ADNOC standards and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, monitoring progress against approved baselines.
• Track project budgets, commitments and expenditures, prepare cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and earned‑value analyses.
• Identify schedule variances, analyse root causes and recommend corrective or mitigation actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, KPIs and dashboards for senior management review.
• Maintain risk registers, support risk mitigation planning and ensure compliance with company and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in project controls, planning or cost control on large‑scale construction, oil & gas or infrastructure projects.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP, CCP or equivalent are advantageous.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams.
