Lead Process Engineer

About the role

The Lead Engineer-Process acts as the technical advisor and subject‑matter expert for process engineering across the plant. The role ensures engineering best practices, supports change requests, and drives continuous improvement for Operations and Maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor process parameters, review lab results and collaborate with Operations to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage mass‑balance calculations and prepare daily and monthly production reports.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure stable plant operation and provide technical assistance.
• Lead process studies and plant trials, using simulation tools to evaluate and implement performance improvements.
• Monitor catalyst and chemical performance, recommend renewals, and coordinate loading/unloading activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures, providing data to the environmental department.
• Follow departmental policies, SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10‑12 years of process engineering experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of process equipment.
• Proficiency with process simulation software.
