Lead Process Engineer Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to drive the design, modification, integration and commissioning of offshore water injection facilities. The role is based in Abu Dhabi with a planned relocation to Spain before returning to the UAE, and requires advanced engineering expertise to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities for offshore water injection systems and related facilities.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), design basis documents and engineering calculations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process simulations and system performance evaluations.
• Optimize water injection designs for efficiency, reliability and operability.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA studies and ensure compliance with process safety management requirements.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) for brownfield modifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical and operations teams throughout engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore process engineering, preferably in water injection or similar hydrocarbon facilities.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex engineering projects.
