Lead Rotating Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Rotating Mechanical Engineer to join an oil and gas operating company in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on the design, analysis, and optimisation of high‑speed rotating equipment used in gas compression and turbine applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical studies for centrifugal gas compressors, aero‑derivative and industrial gas turbines.
• Oversee Integrated Compressor Line (ICL) projects, magnetic bearing systems and high‑pressure centrifugal pumps.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) standards and international performance criteria.
• Drive Pre‑FEED, FEED and EPC phases, providing detailed design calculations and specifications.
• Analyse process data to evaluate efficiency, operating points and performance of turbines, compressors and pumps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of rotating equipment experience in oil and gas.
• Proven leadership experience on projects involving high‑speed rotating machinery.
• Strong knowledge of design codes, safety standards and performance evaluation methods.
