Lead Test Platform Engineer

About the role

The Lead Test Platform Engineer will own the end‑to‑end test platform used for spacecraft integration, verification, validation and manufacturing. This senior, hands‑on position combines hardware, software and systems engineering to deliver reusable, reliable and scalable test stations and SIL/HIL environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture, develop and integrate test stations, benches and SIL/HIL platforms.
• Deploy, operate and continuously improve Linux‑based compute and networking infrastructure.
• Lead cross‑functional teams (systems, AIT, software, avionics, electrical, RF, design, operations) to deliver test solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, configuration management and automated deployment pipelines.
• Conduct design reviews, root‑cause investigations and post‑mortem analyses.

Required profile

• Significant experience owning complex test platforms or multidisciplinary test systems.
• Proven ability to take a platform from requirements through commissioning to operational support.
• Strong systems‑level thinking with a hands‑on approach to hardware and software integration.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and technical leadership skills.

Required skills

• Linux system administration and networking.

• Git/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker) and configuration management.
• Hardware/software integration, instrumentation and embedded device interfaces.
• SIL/HIL test environments, EGSE/SCOE concepts.
