Learning and Development Officer

About the role

Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana is seeking a passionate Learning and Development Officer to support the hotel’s training function. You will work closely with the Learning & Development Leader to nurture a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse colleague development needs and create annual development plans.
• Develop, deliver and facilitate training courses and workshops aligned with operational requirements.
• Maintain the hotel’s colleague development library and coordinate acquisitions.
• Conduct new‑hire orientation, providing job descriptions, handbooks, and HR service information.
• Coordinate housing orientation with HR and the Housing Supervisor.
• Oversee on‑the‑job training for new and existing staff and support skill redevelopment.

Required profile

• Degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Experience in a professional training environment and knowledge of instructional methods.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of hotel operations and customer‑focused service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• General computer literacy and ability to navigate various software packages.
