Learning & Development Specialist – Retail

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will ensure effective delivery of training solutions across Al-Futtaim retail stores and regional teams. Working closely with store managers, HR business partners and subject‑matter experts, the role balances strategic planning with hands‑on execution to meet learning service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and training needs into annual and monthly learning plans aligned with regional priorities and SLA commitments.
• Plan, communicate and deploy learning activities on monthly, quarterly and annual cycles.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end delivery of classroom, virtual, blended and self‑learning solutions.
• Maintain a pool of facilitators and buddies, ensuring their readiness and availability.
• Drive learning engagement through campaigns, communication and social‑learning initiatives.
• Monitor delivery, completion and certification via dashboards, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
• Produce monthly learning dashboards and reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, coordinating and delivering learning programs across multiple locations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to align store management, HR partners and regional L&D teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities to drive engagement and ensure timely execution.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment and meet SLA commitments.
