Legal Counsel – Data Privacy & Commercial Law

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across all business functions. The role focuses on contract management, dispute resolution, and data‑privacy compliance, ensuring the company operates within the bounds of UAE and regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and draft Heads of Terms, franchise agreements, and a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, regulatory and intellectual‑property matters to all business units.
• Manage disputes and coordinate litigation with external counsel to protect company interests.
• Monitor changes in franchising, labour, competition and consumer law and advise on business impact.
• Lead data‑privacy compliance programmes, including policy implementation, breach management and adherence to GCC regulations.
• Strengthen governance frameworks, support audits, investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Deliver training and collaborate with franchisees and internal stakeholders to raise compliance awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Law (LLB); privacy certifications such as CIPM or CIPP/E are a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel, preferably in‑house; retail experience is advantageous.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with data‑privacy tools (OneTrust, Securiti.AI).
• Knowledge of DLP solutions, encryption and anonymisation techniques.
