Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal advice and support to assigned business units, departments, project companies or O&M companies. The role focuses on drafting legal documents, managing contractual risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and advise on contracts, financing documents, shareholder agreements and project agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on board resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate documents.
• Identify legal risks, propose mitigation measures and protect project interests.
• Develop, update and maintain templates for legal agreements.
• Review and negotiate agreements with EPC contractors, offtakers, subcontractors and government entities.
• Coordinate with external counsel as directed by the Deputy General Counsel.
• Support dispute resolution and contract amendments for project or O&M companies.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage legal work assignments independently for business units or project companies.
• Experience providing legal advice on contract interpretation, disputes and contractual changes.
• Capability to work with external counsel and internal legal teams.
• Strong understanding of legal risk management and compliance requirements.
