Legal Counsel – Luxury Retail

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the regional headquarters of a globally recognised luxury retail group in Dubai. The role will support commercial objectives while ensuring legal compliance, governance and risk management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements covering retail operations, procurement, supply chain, technology, marketing and professional services.
• Provide legal support for boutique openings, lease negotiations, real estate matters and regional expansion projects.
• Advise senior leaders on contractual obligations, commercial negotiations and legal risk, balancing business priorities.
• Support corporate governance, entity management and strategic initiatives across the region.
• Develop and monitor internal legal policies, compliance frameworks and stay abreast of legislative changes affecting the luxury retail sector.
• Assist with dispute management, external counsel coordination and risk mitigation strategies.
• Partner with functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and Corporate to deliver commercially focused legal advice.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a recognised jurisdiction.
• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience in a leading international law firm and/or multinational in‑house legal department.
• Strong background in commercial contracts and corporate legal matters.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior management and collaborate with an international legal team.
