Legal Counsel – Middle East

About the role

TechnipFMC is seeking a Legal Counsel to serve as a centre of excellence for legal business operations across the Middle East, primarily in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role will support corporate, labour, real‑estate and regulatory matters, manage dispute resolution and act as the legal representative in crisis situations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily legal advice on corporate, labour, employment, real‑estate and regulatory issues to operational teams.
• Manage local dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration, in coordination with the Regional Senior Legal Manager.
• Oversee relationships with outside counsel and monitor legal spend through the Legal Tracker system.
• Develop and implement local legal policies, standards and strategies.
• Support People & Culture on all labour and employment matters.
• Represent the company in HSE incidents, crisis management and regulatory forums.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience handling Middle East legal matters.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a matrix organization.
• High integrity and ethical standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Legal Tracker or similar legal spend management tools.
