Legal Secretary – Disputes

About the role

The Litigation team at Hidayet Trading LLC is seeking a proactive Legal Secretary to support the Disputes practice. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop legal administration skills while working closely with senior lawyers in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage extensive travel arrangements and maintain the team’s diary.
• Handle telephone calls and inbox correspondence efficiently.
• Maintain files and legal databases, ensuring accurate record‑keeping.
• Process expense claims and prepare client billing statements.
• Amend and type correspondence and documents using dictation and copy‑typing.
• Prepare legal documents, court briefs, and other litigation materials.
• Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
• Perform ad‑hoc administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in a global or US law firm.
• Professional appearance, trustworthy demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, showing initiative and teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Experience using legal database systems.
• Familiarity with billing and invoicing software.
