About the role

The Dubai School Nad Al Sheba is seeking a dedicated Librarian to join its primary school community starting August 2026. The role supports the school’s commitment to child safeguarding, literacy development, and the integration of technology into learning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an attractive, orderly, and clean library environment that reflects the school’s philosophy and curriculum.
• Select, order, process, and publicise new print and digital resources.
• Promote understanding of research versus inquiry and teach information‑retrieval strategies such as tagging, real‑time searches, and evaluating sources.
• Provide literacy support and integrate technology across the curriculum.
• Facilitate media production activities, including podcasting, video creation, and storytelling.
• Engage the school community in collection building through interactive polls and suggestion forms.
• Implement a developmentally appropriate classroom management system and adapt support for SEN, ESL, and diverse learner needs.

Required profile

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with willingness to undergo background checks.
• Alignment with the school’s philosophy and values.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, parents, and external partners.

Required skills

• Library cataloguing and collection development.
• Digital media production (podcasting, video).
