Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join its Base Maintenance team in Dubai. The role involves performing aircraft checks, repairs, retrofits and deliveries for Airbus A380, A350 and Boeing 777 fleets, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and non‑routine maintenance, defect rectification and component changes on assigned aircraft.
• Manage off‑aircraft tasks such as spares handling, hold items and paperwork in line with company procedures.
• Use appropriate tooling and specialised equipment, ensuring it is serviceable and suitable for each task.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures, technical publications (AMM, IPC) and engineering manuals to resolve faults efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report safety or quality issues through established tools.
• Communicate effectively with senior engineers and managers to coordinate work and highlight operational concerns.

Required profile

• Licensed Aircraft Engineer (TE.03 or TE.02) with a degree/honours in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic or Technical Engineering, or a Maintenance Engineering Licence.
• Minimum 8–10 years of engineering experience, including at least 2–5 years as certifying staff.
• Approved type ratings for at least two aircraft, one of which must be A380, A350 or B777.
• Valid personal licences and approvals applicable to the aircraft types.
• Familiarity with GCAA, UK CAA or EASA regulations and ability to convert licences.
