Lifting Inspector

About the role

The Lifting Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections of lifting equipment, elevators, escalators and related machinery, ensuring compliance with quality standards and federal regulations. The role involves preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining up‑to‑date technical knowledge of lifts and hazardous‑area equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of lifting and handling equipment, elevators and escalators.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive inspection reports.
• Verify compliance with quality standards and federal legal requirements.
• Maintain and update technical standards and quality procedures.
• Monitor performance, ensure continual development and update of quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting equipment inspection (Lifting Surveyor) or 10 years for senior level.
• LEEA Certification and training in hazardous‑area equipment inspection (Zone II).
• Knowledge of NDE techniques and H2S breathing apparatus.
