Linux Kernel Engineer – AI Accelerator (Dubai)

About the role

The Linux Kernel Engineer will design and implement PCIe kernel drivers for AI accelerator enumeration, configuration and management. The role also involves developing DMA engines, memory‑management systems, interrupt handling and mailbox communication protocols, as well as integrating power‑management and thermal‑control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PCIe kernel drivers for AI accelerators.
• Develop DMA engines and high‑speed memory‑management subsystems.
• Build interrupt handling and mailbox communication protocols between kernel space and firmware.
• Integrate power‑management and thermal‑control using Linux PM frameworks.
• Optimise kernel‑space performance for AI workloads, focusing on latency, throughput and scalability.
• Collaborate with runtime teams to ensure seamless performance tuning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing Linux kernel drivers and subsystems in C for complex SoCs or accelerators.
• Proven experience with PCIe device driver development, including enumeration and DMA.
• Strong knowledge of Linux memory management and kernel synchronisation primitives.
• Hands‑on experience with work queues, interrupt handling and kernel debugging tools such as ftrace, perf and crash.
• Experience with AI/ML accelerator drivers or GPU compute drivers is a strong plus.
