Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our Dubai team and manage enterprise‑grade Linux environments, virtualization platforms and containerised workloads. The role involves ensuring the stability, security and performance of critical infrastructure supporting a range of business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and harden Linux operating systems.
• Administer VMware and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization platforms.
• Deploy and maintain LAMP stacks, including SSL certificates.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, containerised applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide file‑sharing services (NFS, CIFS/SMB) and monitor server health.
• Review logs, troubleshoot issues, perform hardware upgrades and performance tuning.
• Operate Commvault backup and recovery solutions.
• Support OpenStack/OpenShift environments and enterprise applications.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 4‑6+ years of hands‑on Linux system administration experience.
• Proven experience with VMware, Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, Kubernetes and OpenStack/OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP) and Active Directory integration.
• Experience with enterprise storage solutions such as Pure Storage, IBM SAN and Oracle ZFS.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or OpenStack) is a plus.
