Logging Services Engineer (Level II)

About the role

The Logging Services Engineer (Level II) will execute wireline operations for ADNOC Drilling across onshore and offshore UAE locations. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality open‑hole and cased‑hole logging while mentoring junior staff and supporting wellsite decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wireline services on assigned rigs and fields, acting as crew lead engineer.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and operators in tool deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Plan, prepare, and troubleshoot wireline jobs, including pre‑ and post‑job reporting.
• Coordinate with customers and rig crews to align operations with drilling schedules.
• Advise clients, conduct quality control of logs, and provide recommendations.
• Manage radioactive sources and explosives in line with HSE and regulatory protocols.
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate updates to the service delivery coordinator.
• Utilise software tools such as ECLIPS, Warrior, and Cerberus Tension Modelling for planning and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of oilfield wireline experience (open‑hole and cased‑hole), preferably with Baker Hughes technologies.
• Professional certifications: Basic Logging Academy (ELS‑1 & ELS‑2), Deployment Risk Management, IWCF Well Control, Pressure Control (PCE 10k+), Radiation Safety & Source Handling, Explosives/Perforating competency.
• Strong understanding of HS&E requirements, risk assessment, PTW, SIMOPS, and pressure control.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and proficient in computer‑based documentation.
