Logistics Manager – Plant & Equipment Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee the allocation, mobilisation and demobilisation of construction plant, heavy equipment, vehicles and generators across multiple project sites. The role ensures timely availability, optimal utilisation and reliable performance of all assets while supporting project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate, mobilise and demobilise construction plant, heavy equipment, vehicles and generators across multiple sites.
• Coordinate equipment requirements with project, construction and plant teams to guarantee timely availability.
• Oversee inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance and repair of equipment to minimise downtime.
• Monitor utilisation, maintenance schedules, operating costs and fleet performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Manage equipment transfers, transportation, permits and logistics activities in line with project timelines.
• Lead plant operators, drivers and logistics personnel, ensuring effective planning and deployment.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Workshop, HSE and Project teams on equipment needs, maintenance planning and operational priorities.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance histories, inspection reports and statutory documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning for plant and logistics operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience managing plant and logistics operations within a main contracting environment.
• Proven experience in GCC/UAE construction, infrastructure or civil projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead plant and logistics teams across multiple sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and planning.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of fleet management systems.
• Familiarity with plant management systems.
