Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join its Dubai hub, supporting advanced manufacturing equipment across the new sustainable campus. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement of production assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for mechanical systems.
• Analyze equipment downtime, MTBF and MTTR to identify failure modes and implement corrective actions.
• Lead structured root‑cause analyses (RCA, A3, 5 Why) for cam‑controlled machines, injection molding equipment, and automated lines.
• Define inspection routines, lubrication plans, wear‑part replacement schedules, and overhaul intervals.
• Own mechanical performance of critical equipment such as cam‑controlled forming/assembly machines and plastic injection molding machines.
• Collaborate with production, toolmaking and engineering teams to improve machine stability and cycle‑time consistency.
• Deploy predictive maintenance techniques using condition data, wear analysis and failure trends.
• Support equipment commissioning, industrialisation and ensure readiness for serial production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret reliability data and drive improvements.
• Hands‑on expertise with cam‑controlled systems and injection molding machinery.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical findings.
