Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for an oil and gas operating company based in the UAE. The role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, instrumentation and control maintenance activities to ensure safety, reliability and compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct technical guidance and supervision to Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Instrument and Control teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure HSE considerations are primary in all activities and support Dubai Petroleum Establishment HSE Management System.
• Manage planning with the Planning Group to guarantee adequate skills, resources and spares for maintenance and shutdown campaigns.
• Lead the Permit to Work (PTW) area authority for Living Quarters and conduct worksite audits.
• Maintain equipment reliability for gas turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, centrifugal pumps and cranes, ensuring certifications are up‑to‑date.
• Prepare daily/weekly maintenance progress updates and technical reports for management.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus a 3‑year diploma or apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, Control or Instrumentation (equivalent to UK NVQ, HNC or bachelor’s degree).
• At least 10 years of offshore maintenance experience on gas turbine‑driven machinery and related plant, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of gas compression plant maintenance, PTW, isolation procedures and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work under pressure, in multi‑disciplinary, multi‑cultural teams and to mentor staff.
