Maintenance Technician

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of aircraft ground support equipment, vehicles and plant within its Dubai facilities. The role involves both scheduled and non‑scheduled maintenance, fault finding and repair to ensure minimal downtime and high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily maintenance tasks for equipment, vehicles and plant.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and proper tool care.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Record all work in the maintenance management system.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries and equipment damage.
• Assist senior technicians with spare parts and tool requisitions.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer, ISO and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect equipment daily for reliability and safety.
• Maintain Ground Power Units (GPU) and Pre‑conditioned Air (PCA) units.
• Operate access equipment, forklifts and neutralisation plant as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in maintenance within a large organization, preferably aviation ground support or cargo handling.
• Trade certificate in an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
