Manager, Business Tax Services (US Tax Services)

About the role

KPMG US Tax Services (UAE) LLC is seeking an experienced Manager to lead US tax compliance and advisory projects for a diverse portfolio of EMEA‑based investors, including asset managers, real estate funds, private equity funds and sovereign wealth funds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end US tax compliance and consulting engagements, covering corporate, partnership and M&A tax matters.
• Provide tax‑efficient structuring advice for inbound investments into the United States, addressing permanent establishment, withholding, FIRPTA, branch profits and treaty applications.
• Review and comment on US tax calculations and cash‑tax‑leakage models for investment structures.
• Research, draft and review client tax advice on domestic and international issues, including treaties and sovereign exemptions.
• Oversee outsourced or co‑sourced international tax compliance engagements for asset managers and funds.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Leverage generative AI tools to enhance decision‑making, prepare findings and review work.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of hands‑on US tax compliance experience in a public accounting environment.
• Experience with international taxation in the financial services sector is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation, JD or LLM preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, EA, JD/LLM are advantageous.
