Manager, Teacher Training (SEND)

About the role

This role will support the establishment and embedding of the TELLAL Institute, leading the design and delivery of pre‑service and in‑service teacher training for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver SEND Initial Teacher Training and Apprenticeship routes for pre‑service teachers.
• Lead in‑service teacher training programmes, promoting best practices across schools and the wider group.
• Collaborate with TELLAL Institute to embed SEND expertise at teacher, school and group levels.
• Ensure training aligns with UAE educational standards and the specific needs of SEND learners.

Required profile

• Specialist knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including the UAE context.
• Minimum five years’ experience in education within the UAE.
• At least two years’ experience delivering adult training and qualifications.
• Proven track record of successful training and teaching in the SEND sector.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of SEND frameworks and regulations.
• Experience designing curriculum and training programmes for teachers.
• Ability to lead and manage training projects.
