Managing Director / President, Global Direct-to-Consumer

About the role

SUMWON STUDIOS is seeking a senior leader to own and scale its global Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) business. Reporting to the CEO, you will have full P&L responsibility for the DTC channel, driving growth from $50 million to a multi‑billion‑dollar operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the total webshop P&L and make weekly commercial decisions.
• Define the growth plan, allocate investments and approve major commercial initiatives.
• Lead international expansion until markets are self‑sustaining.
• Manage external agencies (paid media, CRM, etc.) with clear objectives, budgets and performance oversight.
• Align trading, content, creator, paid media, CRM and digital product teams behind a single commercial agenda.
• Monitor customer acquisition and retention economics (CAC, contribution, repeat rate, LTV).
• Coordinate closely with product, technology, operations and supply‑chain functions.
• Build and mentor the DTC leadership team, including VP/Director of Growth Content & Creator Commerce and Growth Manager.

Required profile

• Proven general‑manager experience with deep digital commerce and brand‑building expertise.
• Demonstrated success running a full DTC P&L, not just marketing.
• Track record scaling DTC revenues from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive international market entry.
• Experience managing external agencies and building high‑performing teams.
