Mason – Hotel Maintenance & Civil Works

About the role

The Mason will join the Engineering team at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites, delivering high‑quality masonry, tiling, plastering and civil maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities. The role ensures the property remains safe, functional and visually appealing for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry, plastering, tiling, grouting and concrete repair works throughout the hotel.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, floors, walkways, staircases and other finishes.
• Install, replace and repair ceramic, porcelain, marble and granite tiles.
• Perform minor civil works such as bricklaying, cement rendering, screeding and patch repairs.
• Address cracks, expansion joint issues and waterproofing defects.
• Support room refurbishments, renovation projects and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect finishes, report defects and maintain accurate work orders.
• Ensure work areas are clean and safe, complying with health, safety and fire regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of relevant hands‑on experience in masonry or hotel maintenance.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal disruption to guests.
• Good eye for detail and commitment to maintaining hotel quality standards.
• Willingness to coordinate with other engineering trades.
