Material Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & Joinery

About the role

Royal Joinery is seeking a motivated Material Engineer to lead all material‑related activities for interior fit‑out and joinery projects. You will ensure that every material used complies with project specifications, UAE authority standards, and the high‑quality expectations of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and manage comprehensive material submittals in strict accordance with project specifications and UAE authority standards.
• Maintain detailed material submittal logs and approval records, liaising with consultants and design teams to expedite approvals.
• Develop and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, source approved suppliers, and evaluate vendor offers.
• Review shop drawings and technical details, coordinate with engineers, consultants and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
• Support the project team with RFIs, MIRs, WIRs and method statements.
• Conduct routine site visits to verify dimensions, perform material testing and inspections, and ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Document all material approvals, test results and inspection reports for project records.

• Highly motivated and detail‑oriented professional with strong organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, consultants and on‑site teams.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
