Materials Planning Supervisor (Emiratisation)

About the role

The Materials Planning Supervisor will support the Material Management Department in ensuring the timely availability of aircraft spares, rotables, and consumables across Emirates Engineering’s network. The role focuses on planning, initial provisioning, and replenishment to meet entry‑into‑service, operational, and maintenance demands for both line and base maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Materials Planning Officer in preparing float, initial provisioning, and replenishment plans using manufacturer recommendations and surplus data.
• Calculate float and Economic Order Quantity, compile accurate data, and report any discrepancies.
• Review non‑moving and slow‑moving items, identify surplus stock, and recommend inventory optimisation.
• Monitor critical nil‑stock and aircraft maintenance programme shortages, and coordinate with repair and procurement teams.
• Track open due‑in issues, liaise with repair, warehouse, and maintenance teams, and escalate when necessary.
• Define part numbers and set up relationships in the ERP system based on technical manuals and approvals.
• Support rotable planning, inventory control, outstation operations, and ensure spares are available before heavy‑maintenance checks.

Required profile

• Experience in aviation material planning, inventory control, or related logistics functions.
• Familiarity with surplus review processes and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support.
• Ability to analyse data, detect discrepancies, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for part‑number definition and inventory management.
