About the role
We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Head of Department / Coordinator to join our British curriculum school in Dubai starting August 2024. The role involves leading the maths department, supporting teachers, and driving improvements in student achievement.
Key responsibilities
- Work directly with teachers to develop skills, knowledge and pedagogy to improve student outcomes.
- Contribute effectively to team planning and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with school leaders to raise academic standards across the department.
- Ensure teaching practices align with the UAE framework of teaching.
- Oversee departmental administration and other related duties.
Required profile
- Fully qualified with exceptional subject knowledge and relevant experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education (distance or open‑university degrees are not accepted).
- Strong command of English.
- Available to be present in the UAE for a demonstration session.
