Mechanical Designer

About the role

Join the Design Division as a Mechanical Designer, where you will create sustainable tool and equipment designs for major projects and mixed‑use developments. You will work closely with engineering and fabrication teams to deliver reliable mechanical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate forces, stresses, pressures and related factors for design validation.
• Perform mechanical design, engineering documentation, and modeling for new and revised equipment, tools, and launcher‑receivers.
• Model mechanical systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare bills of materials for complete assemblies and individual parts.
• Supervise and assist in creating finished mechanical assembly and fabrication drawings.
• Produce as‑built and as‑installed drawing versions.
• Gather or generate technical product data sheets to support drawings.
• Compile complete mechanical submittal, operation and maintenance packages.
• Conduct hand calculations for stress, load and force analysis.
• Participate in internal and external design reviews and generate revision packages.
• Support physical testing of equipment and coordinate result analysis.
• Verify client specifications against design outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering/Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design using 3D software.
• Experience with design of pigging tools and pressure spools.
