Meter Reader

About the role

The Meter Reader will join TASC Outsourcing’s utility team in Fujairah, performing on‑site data collection for electricity and water consumption. This full‑time, field‑based role ensures accurate meter readings and supports the company’s commitment to reliable utility services.

Key responsibilities

• Visit residential, commercial and industrial premises following assigned routes.
• Read electricity and/or water meters and record consumption accurately.
• Enter readings using handheld devices, mobile applications or dedicated meter‑reading systems.
• Verify meter numbers and customer/location details before recording.
• Identify and report damaged, faulty, inaccessible or abnormal meters/readings.
• Report suspected tampering, leakage or unusual consumption patterns.
• Capture photographs or supporting information when required.
• Complete daily meter‑reading targets within set timelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors on access issues, discrepancies and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of completed and pending readings.
• Follow HSE, field safety and customer‑service procedures, protecting customer confidentiality.

Required profile

• High School / ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or a related technical field (preferred).
• Basic understanding of electricity/water meters and meter‑reading processes.
• Comfortable with extensive fieldwork, walking and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to use smartphones, handheld devices and digital applications.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic English communication skills.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage depending on the territory.
